Soapstone is much denser than granite and can't be stained. However, it is soft enough so that hand sanding can be accomplished to smooth the edges. Kitchen light switches and outlet. Outlets on either side of the range. On the far left are switches for the kitchen lights.

More kitchen outlets. Garbage disposal, sink light, and outlet. The far right switches are for the peninsula light and the other I don't have a clue.

The floor looks great. Now it will be covered with paper and masonite to protect it through the rest of construction. Dave had to rout out the blemished cabinet face. The kitchen tile is all glass.

Tile was placed on the wall here even though the range backsplash will cover it. Rich said that we will be able to see behind the backsplash. Just ran out! An overview of the kitchen after the tile was installed.

A light colored grout is on top and a darker color is in the brown. Some major surgery was involved here. The hood will stay clamped until we are sure everything is OK to permanently screw it in.
